Summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a Systems Administration, Associate to support a Federal government client at one of our Washington, DC Metropolitan area locations.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct cumulative, security, and critical security updates to Exchange Servers during scheduled patch events
  • Analyze, test, and support implementation solutions for a hybrid messaging infrastructure
  • Responsible for operating, managing, processing, provisioning, and troubleshooting enterprise email, unified communications, mobile and collaboration services
  • Administer and maintain enterprise email (Microsoft Exchange, Office 365/Exchange Online) unified communications (MS Lync, MS Skype, and O365 Teams) and other collaboration services such as (MS SharePoint and MS Teams)
  • Maintain and manage operating email routing devices and services including (Proof Point, McAfee and other Edge devices)
  • Administer enterprise mobility services such as MAAS360, MS Intune and other commercial mobile device management systems
  • Maintain email distribution, account management, define and implement filtering in order to strip unwanted/prohibited types of attachments, email and embedded code
  • Provide security hardening to critical messaging systems.
  • Configure, manage, troubleshoot and secure active directory organizations units and group policy
  • Provide compliance related techniques and tools, often involving security, message retention/recovery/archiving
  • Manage and maintain day to day functionality and operation of Exchange on premise environment
  • Assist with future exchange on-premises migration
  • Create automated exchange administration scripts for ease of administration
  • Troubleshoot, analyze and provide technical root cause analysis (RCA)
  • Maintain a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner
  • Participate in the Annual Performance Review Process
  • Actively support equality and diversity policies of The MIL Corporation and The Library of Congress

Required Qualifications
  • 7 Years as a System Administrator or equivalent experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organization
  • Ability to take ownership of issues, escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary
  • Highly motivated team player with the skills and ability to manage changing priorities
  • Ability to create, maintain and publish relevant support documentation in order to assist all staff in the quick resolution of their incidents and service requests and enable users to become more self-sufficient
  • Willingness to attend internal training as necessary to keep up to date with the latest technology and internal system processes
  • Ability to undertake other necessary duties not specifically stated without altering the nature or level of responsibility

Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $83,747 - $125,621 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package.
