Chenega IT Enterprises, LLC, a Chenega company, has a challenging career opportunity in a Special Access Program that includes systems engineering and integration professional services for new technology engineering, testing, integration, and implementation.

The Program Director shall be responsible for the delivery and overall success of the program. The Program Director will supervise managers and inform management on progress and performance and will ensure the program is delivered successfully and add the highest possible value to the organization.

Responsibilities

Work you'll do

As a Program Director within our ICON team, you will:

• Initiate and set goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization
• Plan the programs from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones, and processes
• Develop or approve budgets and operations
• Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements
• Supervise all program and project managers involved to provide feedback and resolve complex problems
• Discover ways to enhance the efficiency and productivity of procedures and people
• Apply change, risk, and resource management principles when needed
• Read reports prepared by managers to determine progress and issues
• Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies
• Keep senior management informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations
• Keep stakeholders aware of the project status
• Ensure that project stakeholders are consistently provided with the information they require and ensure that communication between stakeholders flows efficiently and effectively
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• BA/BS degree preferred
• 5+ years of Program Management experience
• Certifications: Meet DoD 8140 & 8570 as required
• Active TS/SCI clearance required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to obtain Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent certification
• Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
• Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics
• Outstanding knowledge of data analysis, reporting, and budgeting
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities
• Ability to drive Project Management tenets through the project lifecycle
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
• Ability to influence, facilitate, gain consensus, and resolve conflict
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Ability to handle large, complex workloads, effectively coordinate multiple resources, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluation methods and techniques
• Ability to handle controversial situations with tact and diplomacy
