Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation seeks to hire a Wound Nurse who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Wound Nurse you will:
• Participates in protocol development resulting in standardized wound care approaches across the organization.
• Participates in quality initiatives selected by organization to assess, ensure and elevate quality of wound care practices.
• These may include monitoring outcomes of hospital-acquired pressure ulcers and other selected metrics.
• Collects and Assimilates, and analyzes data as requested.
• Reports adverse events and near misses to appropriate management authority and take action to correct.
• Participates in the testing of selection of wound-related products such as selecting surfaces, trialing wound products, etc.
• Recommends appropriate therapeutic treatment modalities (DME and wound care devices/supplies) in preparation for efficient discharge planning.
• Guides interdisciplinary team to provide a coordinated approach to patient/family education in accordance with patient needs and barriers encountered.
• Demonstrates effective documentation practices including required components of assessment, care planning, treatment and patient progress.
• Designs, teaches and attends required in-service education.
• Completes written and/or computerized training.
• Supports or participates in approved research projects.

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• A minimum of 5 years nursing experience, wound/ostomy or rehabilitation preferred
• Experience in the rehabilitation environment
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland is required.
• Current certification in area of specialty, Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN), is required.
• BLS certification
