Monday - Friday, hours between 7am to 5pm, with a 1 hour lunch
No weekends
No holidays
No on call or call back

Additonal Duties For Separation Health Physical Examination Clinic:
**** Must have experience performing care and treatment of patients; operating and maintaining therapeutic equipment; conducting paraprofessional portions of physical examinations; or assisting in medical treatment of patients in accordance with established procedures and protocols, within the LPN scope of practice.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
* Education: Certificate/diploma. Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
* Experience: Must have practiced 12 months of LPN patient care within the past 24 months.
* Licensure: Current, unrestricted RN license from any state.
* Life Support Certification: Current AHA or ARC BLS Certifications. PALS preferred.
* Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.

Job Specific Details and Tasks: The duties for the HCW include but are not limited to the following:
- Initiate, perform and complete assigned duties in providing care to variable patient populations.
- Complete assigned patient care based on the patients' conditions, use judgment in selecting the appropriate order and sequence of procedures and treatments, and accurately recognize, report and record relevant patient information.
- Observe, identify and respond to the patient's needs for care, including medication, equipment-assisted care and patient/family education.
- Prepare and administer prescribed medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular and/or intravenous) and perform treatments according to established policies/procedures.
- Recognize urgent or emergent patient care situations, seek assistance of the RN and/or MD/DO, and initiate appropriate emergency interventions as directed.
- Perform support duties for complex diagnostic tests and/or specialized practices or procedures, which include preparing the patient, assisting in the diagnostic examination, preparing and handling specialized instruments or other specialized equipment, and monitoring the patient's condition before, during, and following the procedure.
- Orient peers and ancillary personnel to unit policies and procedures, skills, and standards of practice.
- Integrate healthy work environment principles that result in improved patient healthcare delivery, education of patients and their families and employee satisfaction.
Additional Duites for Flight Medicine Clinic:
- Participates in the orientation and training of newly assigned personnel, as appropriate.
- Works with computer applications/software to include Microsoft Office 365 programs, MS Outlook (e-mail) and internet usage.
- Serves and participates in committees, functions and other meetings as directed. Provides relevant and timely information to these groups and assists with decision-making and process improvement. Participates in customer service initiatives and medical readiness activities, designed to enhance health services.
- Recognizes and responds to emergencies and performs Basic Life Support measures, seeks assistance of the RN and/or healthcare provider, and initiates emergency interventions as directed.
- Ensures a safe work environment, employee safe habits, and patient safety in accordance with regulatory agencies, infection control policies, and process improvement initiatives.
Additonal Duties For Separation Health Physical Examination Clinic:
- As appropriate within established procedures, protocols and scope of practice, must have understanding of and ability to correctly utilize and/or apply; medical terminology, medical contingency operations, computer operations in the use of basic word processing, data entry and automated medical records.
- Works with computer applications/software to include Microsoft Office 365 programs, MS Outlook (e-mail) and internet usage.
- Serves as a Practical Nurse performing patient care and nursing administrative duties for outpatients in accordance with established policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
- Performs medical records reviews and applies appropriate protocols and guidelines to determine medical needs.
- Maintains patient medical records in electronic format as well as hard copy as required.
- Prepares and submits administrative reports.
- Participates in training and continuing education programs for new procedures, techniques, and equipment.
- Ensures a safe work environment and employee safe work habits.
- Establishes and maintains appropriate, professional, interpersonal relationships with co-workers, families, peers, and other team members
