Responsibilities

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9 hours between 7:30am and 4:30pm with a 1 hour lunch.

No weekends

No holidays

No on call or call back

Job Specific Details and Tasks: The duties for the HCW include but are not limited to the following:

• Initiate, perform and complete assigned duties in providing care to variable patient populations within the guidance of the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act.
• Completes assigned patient care based on the patients' conditions, using judgment inselecting the appropriate order and sequence of procedures and treatments, and accuratelyrecognize, report, and record relevant patient information.

• Observe, identify and respond to the patient's needs for care, including medication,equipment-assisted care and patient/family education.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscularand/or intravenous) and perform treatments according to established policies/procedures.
• Recognize urgent or emergent patient care situations, seek assistance of the RN and/orMD/DO, and initiates appropriate emergency interventions as directed.
• Performs support duties for complex diagnostic tests and/or specialized practices orprocedures, which include preparing the patient, assisting in the diagnostic examination,preparing and handling specialized instruments or other specialized equipment, andmonitoring the patient's condition before, during, and following the procedure.
• Orients peers and ancillary personnel to unit policies and procedures, skills and standardsof practice and participates in peer review and feedback.
• Integrate healthy work environment principles that result in improved patient healthcaredelivery, education of patients and their families and employee satisfaction.
• Responsible for assigned nursing care, counseling, and care coordination provided toPCMHO enrolled/empaneled patients as indicated by the specific patient encounter.
• Provides care IAW accepted nursing AFIs, Medical Group Policy, and Clinical PracticeGuides (CPG) as directed by the Flight Commander and Chief Nurse (SGN).
• Will notify patients of preventive services that are needed (such as mammograms,Preventative Health Assessment (PHAs), well baby visits, immunizations) on a routineand as needed basis (i.e. monthly).
• Utilizes locally or centrally-developed Clinical Support Protocols (CSSP) formanagement of symptom-based telephone calls.
• Identifies medical conditions that may disqualify a member for worldwide duty andassists providers with initiation of physical profiles and screens medical records fordeployability and other medical administrative requirements.
• Assembles, operates, and maintains therapeutic equipment, supplies, linen and restocks asneeded disposing of medical wastes appropriately.
• Completes local training requirements upon onboarding and supports COVID testing asneeded.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

* Education: Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

* Experience: Minimum of 12 months experience practical or vocational nurse experience after graduation.

* Licensure: Current, unrestricted LPN license from any state.

* Life Support Certification: Current AHA or ARC BLS Certifications.

* Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
