Home Health Agency has a direct hire opportunity in DC for a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator in a busy and stable organization The position supports payroll and billing for internal employees, leave of absence, records management, and benefits administration. This is an "ON SITE" opportunity- remote and hybrid hours are not available. The hours are 8am-5pm Monday-Friday and the position has full benefits. Client is highly motivated to hire!

Responsibilities:
- Process weekly payroll for internal employees
- Process weekly client invoices
- Handle benefits for internal employees
- Manage employee relations
- Handle unemployment claims
- Handle worker's compensation claims
- Maintain internal employees awards program
- Coordinate workplace activities in partnership with broader internal teams.
- Provide direct support to employees in areas of HR including core processes, compensation, & benefits
- Maintain internal employee records
- Update various reports and organizational charts as needed

Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or related field
- 3 years relevant HR experience
- 3 years benefits & payroll experience
- Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work in a fast paced, results driven environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize; must have strong organization, time management, and follow-up skills leading with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrates high levels of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of associates
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills
