Job Description

The Washington Post's Features department is looking for a full-time editorial aide to join our dynamic team of journalists. This is a detail-oriented position that requires a strong work ethic and the ability to multitask.

This aide will help to manage production of the Daily Comics and work closely with editors, critics and reporters on the Fine Arts, Pop Culture, Lifestyle and Travel teams. Duties include proofreading, photo research, online and print story production, day-to-day administrative tasks, and distributing news tips to editors and reporters. The position includes opportunities to experiment with digital presentation, gain experience in project management and write occasionally.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for journalism and be a self-starter who takes direction well. Interest in movies and television is a plus. Punctuality and reliability are essential.

This position is based in our Washington newsroom.
