White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Nurse Manager for MedSurg, Neuro, Ortho and Onc Unit who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
As a Nurse Manager, you will:
•Directly report to the Director and are responsible for operationalizing the strategic plan for their department.
•Oversee day-to-day operations for a mixed MedSurg unit caring for Neuro-stroke, Orthopedic and Oncology patients
•Be responsible for ensuring the assessment, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the delivery of safe and effective patient-centered care.
•Will facilitate, mentor and evaluate others to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills.
•Will assess unit needs to ensure adequate resources are available.
•Will demonstrate professionalism at all times and will uphold standards of practice by holding team members accountable for continued compliance in accordance with organizational goals and nursing mission and vision.
•Promotes cohesive work teams and constructive conflict resolution both within the department and organization.
•Actively leads and encourages staff participation in continuous improvement efforts, DMAICs, and shared governance.
Qualifications include:
• Baccalaureate Degree in nursing required, Master's degree preferred
• Active Maryland RN license required
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certification required
• Three (3) years of work experience in department- specific area, as defined by the department- specific certification requirements
•Supervisory and leadership experience preferred
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday with 24/7 accountability
