Overview
Older Adults Technology Services from AARP (OATS) advocates for technology inclusion for the 50-plus, providing digital literacy training and programming to older adults. With nearly two decades of experience and insights on how older people interact with technology as well as its flagship programs like Senior Planet, OATS uses its resources to create world-class programs that form the basis for systems change.
The Center Manager develops, executes, and implements new engagement programs that align with the organization's goals and objectives. Evaluates existing engagement programs to identify improvements and to measure outcomes. Collaborates with management to identify opportunities to streamline processes and develop new procedures that support the business unit/department.
This role is onsite Monday through Friday in Miami, Florida

Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the Director of Innovation and Program Design, implement innovative pilots and programs that make the Center a "test kitchen" for new ideas, technologies, and approaches that improve the experience of aging.
- Foster a sense of community and personal belonging among the Senior Planet Center's patrons, staff, and volunteers.
- In collaboration with the Program Lead, plan, promote, and deliver a diverse and appealing mix of high-quality programming and special events.
- Recruit and manage a team of dedicated and diverse volunteers to support daily operations, regular programming, and special events.
- In conjunction with the Director of Communications, create communications and partnership strategies that generate mass public awareness of the Senior Planet Center and drive a high volume of visitors.
- Collaborate with the Regional Director and Program Lead to ensure center operations support the overall strategy and strategic priorities of OATS and the local program.
Qualifications
- BA preferred.
- 1+ years experience working in a public-facing environment managing programs (community center, library, retail, etc,).
- Strong affinity for working with older adults.
- Strong tech proficiency, including experience working with Salesforce, WordPress, and the MS Office Suite, preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, public environment while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
- This role is onsite Monday through Friday in Miami, Florida.
- Conversational Spanish preferred
