UL Technology Services is dedicated to ensuring continuous enhancement of services, compliance, and productivity to department core business practices.About the Position:This position will serve as Application Administrator for Mason360, the University's student engagement platform, powered by CampusGroups. The objective of this position is to provide IT support for departmental enterprise software systems and any integrations. This position will serve as the single point of contact for new systems, reviews, and interfacing with central IT for approvals. Further, this position will ensure the confidentiality and security of all information. This position will also serve as a team member of the University Life, Technology Services department.Responsibilities:System Support/AdministrationServe as the subject matter expert (SME) on all components of assigned systems related to the departmental enterprise systems, including overall system functionality, reporting, interfaces, and other modules;Ensure all systems are managed and maintained in an industry compliant manner;Work with users to develop and implement department specific processes and procedures for overall use of systems as well as troubleshooting documentation for all assigned systems;Work with vendors to troubleshoot software, understand implementation and features, and update users as necessary;Develop and provide training for staff on software use and function;Provide guidance and direction for implementation of new features or processes within software. Further, send out status reports, as appropriate, for stakeholders on users;Support and maintain peripheral devices that department software relies on; andProvide support for departmental events, both on site and at remote sites.Process Development/DocumentationAssist other functional areas with process development as it relates to the assigned systems;Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for functions and processes related to applications and workflow;Create and maintain user support documentation for assigned systems;Develop best practice and standard operations processes for assigned systems/applications; andDevelop technical design and documentation of application dependent data conversions, interfaces, custom reporting, and custom applications.System IntegrationWork with units inside and outside UL to develop integrations with other systems;Develop methods for transfer of data to and from the housing management system utilizing APIs/SDKs and/or developing scripts; andEnsure that integration processes are secure and follow industry best practices.TrainingDevelop training methods and materials for user training of systems;Provide user training to both full-time and student staff on an on-going, annual schedule and as needed;Identify staff training needs and make recommendations for training; andEnforce University computing policies and UL Technology policies surrounding applications and systems.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology or related field, or an equivalent level of training and experience;Information technology background with experience in managing applications, specifically applications that provide customer service functions;Professional experience typically obtained in two years of supporting customers and processes;Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, and detail-orientation;Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and manage competing priorities;Experience in application administration, training and technical support delivery; andAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, diverse environment.Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated experience producing and maintaining user documentation;Experience implementing and upgrading software application;Experience with project management, systems planning, security principles, and vendor management; andBackground in software testing, use-case creation and quality control.
