Manager of Finance and Operations

Major Responsibilities

• Manages all accounting department functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, dues billing, general invoicing, collections, and cash management.
• Manages month-end journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assists in the production of monthly financial statements.
• Analyzes monthly budget variances and assists with year-end forecasts.
• Partners with internal operational teams to produce needed financial analysis.
• Assists with the preparation of $5+ million annual budgets in conjunction with department heads.
• Assists with annual financial audit and tax return filings with outside CPA firm.
• Assists with managing relationships with external IT firm, payroll and benefit vendors, insurance program brokers and building operation vendors.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration with an emphasis in accounting/finance.
• 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting preferably in a non-profit environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with an intermediate or better skill level in Excel.
• Ability to work independently while focusing on priorities and delivering results.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.
