Term Instructor, Advanced Biomedical Sciences ProgramGeorge Mason University and Georgetown University maintain a partnership in graduate biomedical education, and we are seeking 2 enthusiastic individuals to serve as Term Instructors in the Advanced Biomedical Sciences graduate certificate program at the Science and Technology campus of George Mason University in Manassas, VA. Responsibilities:This full-time position, beginning mid-August 2023, is an opportunity for an energetic and talented scholar who is interested in further developing their teaching skills by working with students enrolled in a biomedical graduate certificate program. Specific duties include:Conducting recitations, reviews, and facilitated learning sessions;Providing instructional support for course directors;Assisting the Program Director in administration of the program including Data Management;Participating in the planning and execution of student activities outside of the classroom; andStudent advising and teaching.Required Qualifications:Successful completion of an M.S. in physiology or a related field prior to the start date of the position.Preferred Qualifications:Some teaching experience in the sciences at the secondary or higher education-level, especially medical related courses;Experience with premedical advising and/or graduate programs;Familiarity with hybrid learning/flipped classroom learning; andFamiliarity with lecture capture technology and supporting online course materials.
