Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Director of Practice Operations of Howard University Faculty Practice Plan who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

Since 2020, Adventist HealthCare has partnered with Howard University Hospital under the Management Services Agreement with a primary goal of enhancing critically strategic operations, financial alignment between Howard University Hospital entities and carrying out the Howard University Hospital mission of education, research and clinical care.

The Howard University Faculty Practice Plan (HUFPP) is the multi-specialty faculty physician practice that is affiliated with Howard University Hospital and Howard University College of Medicine. Under the MSA Adventist HealthCare and the Howard University College of Medicine have partnered to further the success and mission of HUFPP.

As the Director of Practice Operations of Howard University Faculty Practice Plan (HUFPP) you will:
•Manage the daily operation of the multi-specialty practice organization, and policies and procedures, including implementation of access policies, schedule templates, quality programs and patient care experience processes
•Supervise all staff, including recruitment, evaluations, delegation of staffing hours, coverage plans, training and education of staff, oversight of staff in compliance with all government and regulatory agencies
•Measurement/Reporting of operational results of required measures and develops action plans for improvement
•Optimization of EMR capability to facilitate practice effectiveness and implementation of advanced technical workflows that optimize value and integration and interoperability
•Supply chain management, ensuring adequate supplies, maintenance of records, pricing studies, and an efficient procurement strategy
•Facilities management, including oversight of proper maintenance of offices, equipment, service contracts, and preparation of ROI documentation for new capital equipment.
•Initiation, monitoring and enforcement of regulatory requirements
•Development of practice plan initiatives to support patient satisfaction and family centered care
•Liaison with hospital leadership, HU Chairs and Medical Director and group practice physicians in monitoring practice operations on an ongoing basis
•Lead and/or serve on a variety of appropriate internal/external committees to represent practice plan administration
•Facilitation of optimized front-end operations for all practices, including scheduling/registration, charge capture/posting
•Liaison with Finance in addressing operations improvements and assistance with special financial studies, reports, as requested or deemed necessary
•Oversight of operational expenditures, approval of expenditures

Qualifications include:
•Minimum of a Master's degree in health care administration, business administration, or health administration
•Minimum 10 years executive-level experience including 7 years of experience in the administration of a health care organization
•Experience in a large academic health system, including experience with practice plan administration
•Minimum seven years of supervisory or management experience, preferably in an academic organization

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday 8AM TO 5PM
