Emmes Services Pvt. Ltd , ("Emmes") is searching for Manager, Finance & Accounts Offshore Operations in Clinical Research located in our Bangalore, India office. Emmes provides flexibility for office location preference, dependent upon position.

Primary Purpose
The Manager, Finance & Accounts Offshore Operations will support Emmes' Director, Accounting & Finance Offshore Operations by managing and supervising the day-to-day accounting activities and bookkeeping areas. Manage and comply with transfer pricing regulations. Takes active participation in automation of policies and procedures for increasing the efficiency and speed of closing and reporting. Creates maker-checker methodology for all accounting transactions and ensures discipline and compliance. The Manager, Finance & Accounts Offshore Operations will use financial systems, including Microsoft Excel, Costpoint Enterprise Reporting, Microsoft Dynamics GP, and other tools to retrieve, array, display, and analyze data, performance, and trends.
Responsibilities
· Supervises work related to finance and accounts activities.
· Participates in PM (Performance Management) of the Accounting team through goal setting, mentoring/coaching, Performance Assessments, feedback mechanism and more.
· Completes Hold of End-to-end accounting matters/areas (global entities), ensures timely book closure, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and submission of MIS Reports to Corporate.
· Demonstrates hands-on experience and supervises activities in GL Closing activities including Vendor and Customer Reconciliation, CAPEX Accounting, Prepaid Expenses accounting, Revenue Accounting, Hedge accounting, Deferred Lease Accounting, Consolidation, Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Transfer Pricing, and Group Audit.
· Exhibits good exposure and provides guidance to Revenue, AR, and AP Accounting Processes and Generally adopted accounting principles/policies.
· Supervises Payroll and Benefits Accounting, Payroll Tax Accounting, and variance analysis.
· Subject Matter Expert in IGAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP accounting standards.
· Manages the Direct & Indirect Tax Accounting (Income Tax/GST/VAT/Withholding Taxes).
· Prepares weekly Cash Position and Cash Flow Statement and have good knowledge of working capital management.
· Liaises with Global Finance Corporate team for timely submission of deliverables within prescribed timelines.
· Participates in automation of policies and procedures for increasing the efficiency and speed of the closing and reporting.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience
· Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CP/CPA preferred.
MBA-Finance preferred
· 8+ years of relevant work experience and 2+ years of experience in managing a team.
· Prior Offshore Accounting experience is preferred. Experience in setting up the offshore/global models is highly desirable.
· Ready to work in EU/US time zone, whenever required.
· Prior Experience of working on a mid to large ERP system like Oracle or SAP.
· Prior ERP implementation experience is preferred, particularly in a transition phase of migration
· Foster a team environment that promotes growth and relationship building within the business unit.
· Excellent People Management skills, Interpersonal skills, Mentorship skills etc.
· Hands-on experience in MS- Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Hands-on experience on advanced Excel VBA or Micros will be preferred.
· Strong business acumen and a solid understanding of Accounting and Finance domain/concepts. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently and make timely and appropriate decisions.
· Excellent customer service attitude. Compliant to response mechanism.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Should be a good Team Player.
· Ability to work well under pressure, under deadlines and changes in priorities
