Summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a Financial Systems Analyst (Systems Engineering, Analyst) to support infrastructure, O&M, data quality, configuration, and database management activities for financial and related systems modernization portfolio management for a Federal Government client in Camp Springs, MD. We are specifically looking for candidates with Federal Financial Management Systems and supporting platforms - including Oracle databases, SAP, Prism, Sunflower, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Tableau, UiPath, and the Microsoft Suite. This position may be eligible for some remote work depending on contract/client and hiring manager approval.

Responsibilities
  • Work with government technical and functional leads, internal team leads, systems/platform development contractors, and the core financial system integrator (SI) to provide advice and support on current and planned development activities to address gaps in production systems
  • Assist the with development of a portfolio and governance strategy that incorporates technical considerations for infrastructure, configuration, and data quality
  • Review technical requirements for infrastructure, configuration, database, and data quality for development new capabilities and O&M of existing solutions
  • Provide advice and support on Data Management and Conversion strategy and activities and support development of a roadmap for performing the migration of data from legacy to newly developed solutions
  • Assist in the establishment of Data and Platform Security and Management Policy, Processes, and Procedures
  • Analyze technical requirements for compliance with existing mandates, and impact of emerging laws, regulations, policies, and standards on current and planned projects and initiatives
  • Review project plans and technical artifacts developed by systems/platform development contractors
  • Review legacy system/platform data and ensure an accurate understanding of the data elements, structures, and quality is recorded.
  • Facilitate the design and development of report and query designs.
  • Support technical and functional testing strategies, plans, and execution including development of test scripts for reports and ensure the data is reported as expected.
  • Perform data mining and analysis.

Required Qualifications
  • 3 to 10 years of experience aligned to the responsibilities listed above
  • Technical experience with core financial systems, enterprise resource planning systems, or related feeder systems (asset, procurement, payroll, position management)
  • Technical experience with supporting platforms that interface/integrate with financial systems

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with DHS
  • Experience with Federal Financial Accounting and General Ledgers
  • Experience working with system/product owners, users, and other stakeholders

Education

BA/BS, preferably in accounting, data science, data management, business management, or an IT-related field
