Summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a Business Analyst (Business Analysis, Associate) to support data visualization (e.g., Tableau), analytics, governance, internal controls, upskilling users, communications, training and engagement strategies/activities for financial and related systems modernization portfolio management for a Federal Government client in Camp Springs, MD. We are specifically looking for candidates with experience in Federal Financial Management Systems and supporting platforms - including Oracle databases, SAP, Prism, Sunflower, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Tableau, UiPath, and the Microsoft Suite. This position may be eligible for some remote work depending on contract/client and hiring manager approval.

Responsibilities
  • Work with government technical and functional leads, internal team leads, systems/platform development contractors, and the core financial system integrator (SI) to provide advice and support on current and planned development activities to address gaps in current system functionality versus customer desired functionality
  • Assist the with development of a portfolio and governance strategy that incorporates functional requirements of the customer
  • Support development of a roadmap for moving to newly developed solutions, including migrating from legacy solution as applicable
  • Review functional requirements for development new capabilities and O&M of existing solutions
  • Provide advice and support on platforms used to support development of solutions and enhance existing solutions
  • Assist in the evaluation of internal control requirements against existing and planned solutions
  • Support stakeholder engagement strategies and tactical communications including training
  • Conduct business process reviews and compare against functional requirements to determine process versus technology changes required to maximize impact and results for customer
  • Analyze policy, processes, and procedures to determine compliance, and updates required to align to strategy and new solutions
  • Analyze functional requirements for compliance with existing mandates, and impact of emerging laws, regulations, policies, and standards on current and planned projects and initiatives
  • Review project plans and supporting artifacts developed by systems/platform development contractors
  • Review legacy system/platform data and processes to ensure an accurate understanding of and changes required to the data elements, structures, and quality required to meet customer needs
  • Facilitate the design and development of reports, dashboards, and supporting analytics
  • Support functional testing strategies, plans, and execution

Required Qualifications
  • 3 to 10 years of experience aligned to the responsibilities listed above
  • Functional experience with core financial systems, enterprise resource planning systems, or related feeder systems (asset, procurement, payroll, position management)
  • Functional experience with supporting platforms that interface/integrate with financial systems

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with DHS
  • Experience with Federal Financial Accounting and General Ledgers
  • Experience working with system/product owners, users, and other stakeholders

Education

BA/BS, preferably in a financial-related field
