A$ A' "A' ?Our client located in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst for a 6 month contract opportunity. This role will work on a hybrid schedule of 2 days a week in the Washington DC office.Serves as technical team leader in the development of business intelligence solutions and other reports and analysis across all divisions of the organization. Writes complex SQL scripts to extract data from various databases and systems to make data available for enterprise reporting. Provides day-to-day management of overall reporting environment. The results provide ongoing support to USAC decision-makers, the FCC, Congress, and other interested parties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Serve as technical team lead in the development of business intelligence reports and analysis, providing mentoring, guidance and troubleshooting to analysis team members in solving complex reporting and analytical problemsManage reporting environment including report data sources, security, subscriptions and metadataAssist in initiative towards data normalization and data integrity across the enterpriseAssist Data Warehouse Engineer in identifying and revising enterprise reporting requirementsEvaluate, test and implement new or upgraded softwareTroubleshoot reported problems pertaining to reports and the reporting database environment, working closely with other IT members, especially DBAs, Systems Analysts and Systems Engineers, identifying the cause and designing or developing an approach for resolutionAssess impact of changes and updates to source production systems, planning and implementing resulting changes to reportsConduct end user training on reporting systemTECHNICAL EXPERIENCE:Knowledge of Relational Databases 12 yearsKnowledge of Columnar Databases or columnar storage 5 yearsSQL Programming 12 yearsMicrosoft SQL Server 2005 or above 8 yearsSQL Server Management Studio 4 yearsSQL Server Integration Services 4 yearsSQL Server Analysis Services 2 yearsPentaho BI Suite 5 yearsPDI ETL 5 yearsPentaho Analytics/Reporting 5 yearsMicrosoft Excel 4 yearsMicrosoft Access 1 yearMicrosoft Visio 2 yearsData Modelling 4 yearsData Warehousing 5 yearsNOTE: In addition, this is desired experience.Microsoft SQL Server 2018/2020HP VerticaAmazon RedshiftPentaho BI SuitePentaho PDIAny other BI Tools like Business Objects, Cognos, etc.Team Foundation ServerERwinTOAD for OracleCreating visual displays for data analysis and presentation
