AARP's Community, State and National Affairs (CSN) Group includes Government Relations, Programs, Volunteer Engagement, Community Outreach and Advocacy at the federal, state and local levels. The Business Integration Manager plans and implements business unit and/or department integration initiatives, engages cross-functional teams, and monitors program quality and performance post-implementation. Raises issues and integrates initiatives, solutions, and actions for management. Identifies operational and technological tools to enhance and support existing and/or new initiatives. Collaborates with management to identify opportunities to streamline processes and develop new procedures that support the business unit and/or department.

Responsibilities
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams on strategic business unit objectives. Identifies opportunities for efficiencies in organizational processes or programs and resolves challenges to optimize results. Provides data analysis and reporting to senior management.
- Plans, organizes, and implements assigned projects. Determines resources needed, tracks budgets, determines scope and execution, tracks progress towards milestones, establishes timelines, and evaluates progress.
- Identifies trends, resolves systemic issues across functions, and ensures strong communication within a matrixed environment. Acts as a liaison to resolve problems and to ensure successful implementation of company initiatives.
- Represents the business unit on internal working groups. Develops, advises, supports, coordinates, and collaborates on special/ high-level strategic projects across the department/organization.
- Provides advice and counsel to colleagues on the implementation of the organization's advocacy, member/public engagement, volunteer management, and communications priorities. Executes strategies that support and integrate advocacy, outreach, communications, and volunteer engagement work across multiple business units.
- Works with key teams to identify areas where process improvements can be achieved through improved workforce management and integration of current systems and process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of project management experience along with experience serving in an advisory capacity to departments and/or business units.
- Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to produce quality reports and manage data with accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively participate in cross-functional teams to meet business objectives and foster strong working relationships.
- Adept at conveying business management concepts and analyses to staff with the ability to analyze processes, procedures, policy and make recommendations for efficiencies.
- Creativity, flexibility, a proactive problem-solving approach, and strong relationship-building skills are essential to success in this position.
- Experience with strategic planning, executive-level communication, collaboration, and brainstorming.
- Team player, dedicated to excellent customer service for internal and external customers.
