Duties

  • Identifies and solves critical problems and prevents them from reoccurring via root cause analysis and automation; to improve the development platform, infrastructure, standards, and methods to ensure scalability and high availability are met by investigating and fixing applications and digital infrastructure performances, that could compromise the reliability, performance, and scalability for end users.
  • Develops effective tooling, monitoring, alerting to both identify and address digital platform vulnerabilities to enhance digital platform end to end monitoring capabilities and enable critical KPI dashboards to diagnose digital infrastructure performance.
  • Influences standardization and process refinement within the engineering organization by troubleshooting stack-wide engineering issues related to hardware, software, network, applications, IT Security, automations and cloud service providers.
  • Mentors and consults engineers and team members on new code and services, methodology, standards, monitors and best practices by way of peer reviews, providing qualitative feedback and facilitating the learning environment through equitable exchange of ideas.

The GS-14 salary range starts at $116,393 per year. The GS-14 base salary range starts at $116,393 (based on Step 1, outside of locality pay areas) to $183,500 (San Jose-San Francisco-Oakland, CA includes locality pay). Locality pay will be determined once the duty location has been established.

To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Specialized experience is defined as experience serving as an organizational change agent implementing DevSecOps practices with cross-functional collaboration into IT programs; Accelerating Digital Transformation with end-to-end automation; Demonstrate Agile Product portfolio management helping organizations plan and deliver predictably; and Achieving Infrastructure optimization via Application Rationalization, Technology Business Management and Cloud Enablement.
