In this role, as part of the Data Exchange Platform team, you will lead our external portals agenda as we achieve scale and grow to better strategic partner relationships through simple experiences for our partners to integrate with our products.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Location is New York City: $228,500 - $260,800 for Director, Product Management
Location is San Francisco, California: $242,100 - $276,300 for Director, Product Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.

- You'll lead sourcing and synthesis of customer discovery efforts to understand customer needs to drive the long term vision for your product
- You'll turn these customer insights into actionable strategies that will define the priorities for your team and rally your stakeholders to your vision

- You'll own and prioritize the long-term (12-18 months) product roadmap to deliver on business outcomes, working closely with a cross-functional team to ensure that all the right resources are aligned to ensure that and your team will be successful
- You'll define KPIs for your product and will be responsible for measuring and tracking to those measures, with an eye to adjusting and refining your roadmap as the data dictates
- You'll own and prioritize the long-term (12-18 months) product roadmap to deliver on business outcomes, working closely with a cross-functional team to ensure that all the right resources are aligned to ensure that and your team will be successful
- Technology Driven
- You'll have an end-to-end understanding of your product and how it fits into the larger ecosystem to be able to anticipate impacts from changes in other parts of the business
- You'll work closely with tech leadership and architecture to understand the tradeoffs of technical decisions and how they impact the ultimately customer experience your team will deliver always looking to ensure you're using the best tool for the job

- Understand the developer and partner personas and how to drive great experiences
- Drive vision and strategy by leading product/tech discussions
- Drive product objectives with business cases, product success metrics, design thinking, customer feedback, market research, marketing strategy and competitive analysis
- Ground assumptions in human centered design with a natural empathy for customers/developers
- Lead the design and build of new solutions that simplify processes for partners and associates
- Serve as subject matter expert, contributing practitioner, thought leader, career guide and mentor to teams
- Stay abreast of new technologies that are driving business process simplification across the industry and be the leader in driving that change by partnering and piloting across various business areas.
- Partner with the Technology team to bring Product Vision to life and inspire the team by driving design thinking mindset for Product Owners, developers and designers.
- Have a bias to action and a proven track record of delivering minimum viable products and business models to market at rapid speed

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or military experience
- At least 7 years of experience in digital product management
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or Master's degree
- Experience in Agile product management
- Experience translating business strategy and analysis into digital products
- Experience managing enterprise level data governance products
