Duties
The division's director collaborates with CBO's senior managers to formulate and implement a strategic agenda for the division's analytical work-working closely with the division's other managers to oversee research and modeling as well as the development of reports. The division's work is produced by about 30 people, the majority of whom have a Ph.D. in economics or a related discipline. The division's director is responsible for ensuring that the division functions effectively and that its work continues to meet the highest standards.

Qualifications
The applicant must have an advanced degree-preferably a Ph.D.-in economics, public health, health policy, or a closely related discipline; a minimum of 10 years of experience in policy analysis related to health care; the skills necessary to strategically guide all the division's work; and a proven track record as a manager and research leader. The applicant must also have superior knowledge of the health care system and its financing, along with the versatility to engage in all aspects of the division's work to enhance its technical quality and clarity; be a strong leader of people who can provide direction, promote professional development, and foster collaboration; be a strong manager of research and writing projects; and have the interpersonal skills to work effectively with many stakeholders in the Congress, in the professional and academic communities, and within CBO.
