Information Technology Services is responsible for AARP enterprise-wide technology and information security functions. Services range from infrastructure design and operations, system and software lifecycle implementations, enabling the mobile workforce and protecting AARP network, systems and data. A variety of technologies and practices are used including cloud computing, automation, artificial intelligence and machine learning within highly collaborative Agile teams.
The Delivery Lead I, STEM Experience is an emerging delivery resource on a platform/capability/practice team. This position operationalizes the team's strategy in conjunction with other team members and will be expected to deliver incremental business value in an agile environment. The Delivery Lead I, STEM Experience must be an agile learner and self-starter who is able to facilitate activities with an understanding of multiple delivery methodologies, write technical documentation as needed, and identify continuous improvement opportunities for the team.

Responsibilities
- Develops an understanding of Rapid Delivery (Agile or other) principles and tools like Jira and applies to team practices and work products, including epics and user stories.
- Learns facilitation techniques and tools, such as Mural, to drive the creation of consistent, value-driven user stories and the implementation of high-quality solutions.
- Facilitates the creation and maintenance of team agreements that guide the team on how they interact, including communication, managing the backlog and Jira board, team ceremonies and continuous improvement.
- Conducts team ceremonies, such as a daily stand up, backlog refinement, and team retrospective with feedback and support from seasoned team members.
- Reviews operational data and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of existing processes.
- Assists in managing the team's financial budget, software licensing for applicable tools, and third-party relationships.
- Assists in developing statements of work (SOWs) for any third-party vendors or contractors that adheres to procurement standards and specifically includes operational requirements and outcome-based deliverables.
- Participates with other Delivery Leads through a Community of Interest to increase the effectiveness of agile delivery within the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 1 year of related experience preferred.
- Certified Scrum Master preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and use data to make decisions.
- Ability to operate independently and as a cross-functional team member.
- Understanding of brain-based instructional design methods is preferred.
- Skill with managing intern and early career journeys desired.
