JBS International, Inc., a North Bethesda health and human services consulting firm, seeks a Social Media Manager to lead and set the strategic direction for a team dedicated to developing tailored health communications materials and social media campaigns for a variety of audiences. The Social Media Manager is responsible for developing a social media strategy, setting social media campaign schedules, and pulling KPI data to determine social media campaigns' success. This position is part of a multidisciplinary team supporting government health agencies that aim to address health needs and challenges across diverse populations, communities, and regions. Develop, implement, and manage social media strategic plans and editorial calendars and refine these plans based on analytics. Analyze campaign and content performance regularly, develop reports to identify trends and opportunities, and recommend/implement changes to current strategies to improve results. . Oversee the development of content for social media including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Use social listening tools to inform the overall strategy behind content development and direction of campaign deliverables . Create visuals and content for ongoing social media postings that resonate with the target audience and reflect client needs and preferences.. Stay up to date with and implement the latest social media best practices and trends. Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics. Assist with business development activities as needed. Have proven ability to apply social marketing and behavior change principles that maximize reach, engagement, and impact CORE COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:. High degree of organization, attention to detail, timelines, and record keeping. Ability to develop and maintain positive, responsive working relationships with staff and clients. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage work and self effectively and independently while remaining flexible and actively collaborating with colleagues. Able to handle numerous tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Consistent demonstration of initiative and ongoing efforts to expand job knowledge. Skills in identifying issues and developing effective, innovative solutions . Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; working knowledge of Canva and media monitoring tools preferredMINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Bachelor's degree in journalism, public health, communications, or related field; a combination of a degree in one of these areas and a degree, certification, or equivalent work experience in health, social science, or a medical specialty is strongly preferredAbility to obtain public trust clearance (candidate may be required to obtain a PIV card/badge from a sponsoring agency to conduct essential job functions)Language: English fluency (oral and written)Experience: At least 7 years of experience working in health-related communications field specifically social media, Experience in strategic communications planning and execution, media monitoring tools, and a range of social media platforms.
