The Communications Manager will supervise the daily development and execution of various communication strategies for MEDICAL MUTUAL and Professionals Advocate; oversee the comprehensive communications program for both internal and external audiences, which include elements of policyholder relations, employee relations, media relations, web site content and maintenance, publications, and marketing support. The Communications Manager will help to communicate the Company's image positioning ("Value Proposition") that reflects our mission, strategic direction, and industry environment. Essential Functions:Enhance the understanding and awareness of the Company's operations and programs by managing the content, workflow, and production of various communications media, including, but not limited to: annual reports; informational brochures/flyers; e-newsletters; marketing presentations and advertising campaigns; website and social mediaEvaluate communication priorities and coordinate communications functions to assist the Vice President in preparing a comprehensive and unified plan for internal and external communications, including managing a set of core activities, procedures, and products designed to achieve assigned responsibilities.Assist in the development of Company objectives, branding, messaging concepts, and delivery mechanisms.Provide communications assistance, including writing and editing support for senior management and Company departments.Supervise the content, quality, design, and style of the Company's external and internal web sites.Assist with the development and maintenance of departmental and project budgets.Supervise external vendorsPlan and implement special events as assigned.Supervise additional department staff and student interns. Qualifications:. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field.. A minimum of five years of experience in a communications department and/or agency with extensive writing, editing, and project management responsibilities.. Strong experience within software applications, including but not limited to, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat), Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).. Experience using digital media equipment, video creation, and editing software preferred.. Project management experience with proven instances of balancing multiple projects and in a high-volume environment.. Superior organizational and writing skills, in both verbal and written forms, with strong editing and proofreading skills.. Ability to rapidly absorb detailed industry information and translate it into lay terms.
