Manager, Commercial Financial Planning & Analysis

The Commercial Bank is a critical part of Capital One's strategy, with a diverse set of on and off-balance sheet strategies driving performance. The Commercial Finance team brings data, analytics and insights to shape the financial decisions and strategic direction of the business. We are looking for a people leader to join the Commercial journey as we build for the future.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with business leadership in providing in-depth financial analysis and strategic planning for a sub-segment of the Commercial Bank
  • Provide reporting, analysis, and forecasting to facilitate decision making and to track performance against operating goals and imperatives
  • Proactively identify and lead new analysis that drives additional insights into business performance and opportunities
  • Communicate and influence effectively with business leadership
  • Actively manage and develop associates
  • Act as a leader on the Commercial Financial Planning and Analysis team bringing perspective to support technology, diversity, talent and process improvement efforts

A successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:
  • Demonstrated leadership capacity and ability to lead a small team to deliver on organization goals
  • Ability to build and manage financial analyses leading to quality storytelling in support of strategic initiatives, including senior management presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to navigate within highly matrixed teams
  • Ability to drive sustainable results including cross-functional deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years' experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, Business Analytics, or a combination
  • At least 1 year of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Location is New York City: $142,979 - $168,683 for Manager, Financial Analysis

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
