Manager, Capital Markets Operations

Manager, Capital Markets Operations

You've always dreamt of leveraging your analytical skills and being part of an exciting fast paced environment surrounded by smart, inclusive and energetic individuals? Come and join the Treasury Payment Execution (TPE) team, part of Capital One Corporate Treasury. Capital One Corporate Treasury is excited to share that it is looking for a Manager to lead a small team responsible for executing payments and managing standard settlement instructions (SSIs) in Finance and enhancing the payment process to mitigate risks in Treasury's payment processes. TPE is looking for an individual with strong leadership, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills and exceptional attention to detail to join its newly created team.

Execution of wires originating from across all of Finance will give the candidate the opportunity to learn and understand different functions in Finance that involve payments. As a member of the Payments team, the Manager will play an active role in creating, setting up, and changing procedures as necessary and managing the reporting and monitoring of health metrics related to wires. The individual will also engage across other areas of Treasury Operations to help advance Treasury payment processes to the target future state.

  • Manage risks of incorrect SSIs with periodic and regular reconfirmation of counterparty settlement instructions, which includes partnering with various business stakeholders to verify current instructions and clean up unnecessary instructions
  • Maintain accuracy of settlement instructions in systems even if there are no recent payments to an existing counterparty
  • Review and approve any changes to current instructions or addition of new counterparties
  • Establish standardized procedures and controls for all SSIs across Finance
  • Coordinate with Finance Risk Management and other risk offices on best payment practices across Finance
