Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney
Overview: The Commonwealth’s Attorney's Office for the City of Alexandria is seeking an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for assignment to a district court docket with additional responsibility for felony cases as assigned. This opening is contingent on City Council approval in May, with a start date in July 2023.
Minimum Requirements: The successful applicant will possess excellent writing, research and oral communication skills and the ability to work independently. Applicants must be licensed to practice law in Virginia and a member of the Virginia State Bar.
Preferred Requirements: Prior prosecutorial and/or trial experience; fluency in a foreign language, particularly Spanish or Arabic.
