Sr. Associate, Chief of Staff Tech Risk

Job Description:

As a Senior Associate Chief of Staff in Capital One's Enterprise Service Risk, you will apply your process management, project management and analytical skills to deliver upon all organizational risk processes/requirements on a Chief of Staff team. This position will help rationalize reporting output for the department and support staffing needs and reporting requests across the organization. This position will require collaboration with a diverse group of stakeholders, allowing the ideal candidate the opportunity to work with many different teams across Capital One.

Participating on the Chief of Staff team provides the opportunity for:
  • Developing a deep understanding of the business strategy and operational disciplines
  • Interaction with leadership across the business and with key stakeholders and partners across Enterprise Services Risk
  • Collaboration and developing relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Leadership of key culture and engagement programs and strategic initiatives

Responsibilities Include:
  • Strategy support: Partner closely with the CoS and key leadership team members to help inform and support strategic planning, priority setting, and leadership team alignment around business goals and strategic priorities
  • People/Culture: Provide thought leadership and partner closely with the CoS, HR, Communications, and Engagement leadership team to assist in shaping and executing the business culture agenda
  • Communications: Ensure alignment across the organization through strategically designed updates around strategy and progress, in partnership with the CoS and communications team
  • Support reporting and analytics needs, including the preparation of written reports and oral presentations to communicate identified issues and recommended remediation actions
  • Collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholders (e.g. other risk management partners, business risk offices, and front-line risk / process owners)
  • Assist in prioritizing of key project deliverables across all initiatives and resolve or escalate impediments to help the organization deliver on its top priorities
  • Participate in and execute other special projects for the team on a periodic basis.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and interpersonal skills are a must for the role.
  • Assist in staffing needs across Enterprise Service Risk


Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience in Microsoft Office or G Suite
  • At least 1 years of experience in Business Process Management, Project Management, Relationship Management or Risk Management


Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in event & issue management and control management
  • At least 2 years of change management experience in process improvement and transformation
  • At least 2 years of experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance software tools
