Assistant Program AdministratorThe George Mason University Office of the Provost is seeking a part-time (20-25 hours per week) Assistant Program Administrator position to support the Global Education Office. George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.About the Position:Assist Bilateral Exchange and Direct Enrollment Programs team in the administration of George Mason University study abroad programs for outgoing and incoming students. Duties include answering student inquiries, processing student forms, advising students on program options, the creation, maintenance and publishing of program materials.This position will also include mapping partner institution course work to Mason Majors. This position includes maintaining relationships with GEO staff, students, and administrative and academic units on campusResponsibilities:Program Adviser/Record KeepingAssist Program team with:Answering student inquiries in IntlEx inbox (Outgoing program team inbox) - triage inquiries, elevate as needed;Advise of students of program options and study abroad policies;Update program materials, cost sheets, post application materials in MasonAbroad;Update program information on GEO Advisor resources (Partner Manual, Master spreadsheet, etc);Assist with the management of communication with students;Manage curriculum mapping with departments across campus for program offerings;Best programs for X Major lists;One-page what is exchange;Partner Addresses in FedEx Portal;Update Admin Calendar;Assist/lead on other long-term projects/materials such as video tutorials, development of promotional ideas;Assist with incoming programs as needed;Daily answering of emails in IntlEx mail box;Emails responded to within 24 hours;Program materials in MasonAbroad up to date;Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate student and program needs to Program Officers; andHigh level of attention to detail and accuracy of program information provided to program officers, students, supporting departments, educational institutions abroad, appropriate administrative units on and off campus, students, and general public.Required Qualifications:BA or MA in International Studies, Education, or Foreign Language, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience;Demonstrative administrative experience (typically 1 year);Background in study abroad, higher education administration, experiential education or field studies; andExperience using Terra Dotta study abroad application management system.
