Job Details

Adventist Healthcare seeks to hire an experienced Quality Analyst for our Quality Improvement Department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Quality Analyst you will:

• Apply expert clinical, regulatory and data analysis knowledge to enterprise quality and safety related activities designed to improve patient outcomes, ensure regulatory compliance and assist entities to achieve the operational attributes of high-reliability organizations.
• Serves as a subject matter expert for quality and patient safety performance metrics for all service lines including quality-based reimbursement, regulatory/accreditation standards, Maryland waiver program metrics, CMS, public domain measures, AHRQ measures, population health/ACO measures and AHC internal performance measurement standards.
• Works with entity stakeholders to validate results and complete regulatory submission requirements within designated timeframes.
• Identifies gaps in system configuration/build, workflows, reports and training due to specification updates and addresses accordingly.
• Proactively plans for scheduled specification updates under direction of Director.
• Maintains project management documentation for major projects within department as assigned by Director.
• Trains users and assists in providing leadership to the enterprise-wide event reporting change management administration group.
• Develops training content as required for upgrades and to reflect changes in department deliverables and regulatory practices.
• Maintains up to date calendar, entity performance documents and reference documents for critical policies/workflows, such as healthcare associated infections within all required points of presence in AHC domain.
• Performs scheduled System Quality Services data close and presentation services on time and with accuracy, including designated case abstraction
• Accurately performs monthly close activities using established operating procedures
• Provides timely, actionable data and analysis with recommended actions to stakeholders
• Performs ongoing surveillance of clinical and patient safety event data to identify and communicate opportunities for improved patient outcomes and trends indicating (potential) operational/clinical issues
• Serves as subject matter expert for patient quality and safety performance metrics for assigned service lines
• Administers users, tables, forms, reports and processes within the AHC event management system (RL Solutions) within the established change management practices.
• Executes test scripts and performs maintenance for assigned systems

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of five years relevant experience, including at least three years in position of progressive responsibility. Minimum two years direct experience with quality and regulatory/accreditation affairs.
• Computer proficiency; expert level MS Office (especially Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point)
• Project management skills
• Leadership and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written skills in English, including communication skills that promote interpersonal relations and customer service
• Ability to work independently, multi-task and work within tight deadlines.
• Ability to work comfortably with all levels of user throughout the AHC organization

Work Schedule:

Full-Time, Day Shift, Monday - Friday
