Overview

The Operations Specialist provides support to the Wealth/Financial Advisors and their support staff of Client Service Associates/Assistants. In general the Operations Specialist supports the advisors and their staff by performing administrative tasks that are not client facing.

Responsibilities

  • Review paperwork for accuracy and completeness and open new accounts in Clientworks and Salesforce
  • Help to manage tasks via the Operations inbox
  • Perform account maintenance (address changes, householding, combined statements, CRM updates, etc)
  • Receive, open, review and sort incoming mail. Deliver mail to internal NWFA departments
  • Review, copy and process outgoing mail
  • Process incoming checks and update cash blotter
  • Network direct business accounts
  • Review daily notifications and resolve
  • Process transfer paperwork, update log and work with broker/dealer and outside firms to resolve issues to ensure transfers are completed in a timely manner
  • Maintain client account files and assist with filing
  • Archive completed paperwork to our online documents retention system
  • Cover front desk, as needed
  • Produce ad-hoc reporting and support special projects

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • BA/BS degree in Business or like field or a minimum of two years' experience in the financial services industry is preferred
  • Series 6, 7 and 63 are a plus but not required
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct management supervision
  • Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness as a self-starter
