AARP's Integrated Communications and Marketing (ICM) Group includes Membership, Content and Editorial, Customer Experience, External Relations, Brand Strategy and Strategic Communications. The Digital Delivery Manager works within AARP's Digital Strategy & Membership org. (DSM) and will drive projects impacting AARP's Rewards Program. DSM produces and supports AARP's highly public-facing website and implements AARP's digital strategy. This role will drive projects involving the digital experiences that support AARP's Rewards Program, overseeing a portfolio of projects while coordinating with the Consumer Care team. This is a dynamic role that is ideal for someone who likes variety in their work. The Digital Delivery Manager will help identify new features, and manage how those features are rolled out, ensuring projects are moved forward against goals. They will also own special projects from start to finish in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Sets strategies, identifies opportunities, and develops and implements projects and programs to support the organization. Manages and/or leads staff and/or volunteers to obtain program goals. Supports development and management of program budgets. Monitors performance and recommends program changes.
  • Plans, organizes, and implements assigned projects across a program or programs. Determines resources needed, tracks budgets, determines scope and execution, tracks progress towards milestones, establishes timelines, and evaluates progress. Ensures adherence to internal and external quality standards. Organizes project teams and leads internal and external team members and stakeholders to deliver on project goals. Establishes project communication plans and ensures internal/external stakeholders are informed regarding project processes and impact.
  • Evaluates existing programs to identify improvements and to measure performance against programmatic goals and desired outcomes. Analyzes and tests current processes and systems to determine effectiveness and efficiency. Develops and implements solutions that are effective, efficient, and align with enterprise goals.
  • Collects data, performs root cause analysis of issues or problems, and proposes solutions according to the current and future needs of the business. Uses data to identify program and process enhancements to achieve outcome measures. Evaluates and advises on existing programs to improve outcomes.
  • Engages stakeholders and partners as necessary to communicate program intent, identify areas for collaboration, and improve programmatic outcomes. Develops communications related to priority programs and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience and college degree in technical field preferred, but not required.
  • Experience leading large groups of stakeholders needed for enterprise-wide projects.
  • Experience creating and maintaining overarching project plans and roadmaps that include timelines from multiple working groups, milestones, schedules, key dates, progress against targets, and risks.
  • Experience tracking project performance, follow up on deliverables, track risk and critical path, and create and distribute weekly updates.
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical and business material and synthesize into required actions.
  • Experience as an intermediary to balance multiple interests, working through what is needed and what can be achieved within given time constraints. Be the one point of contact for project status.
  • Ability to document all key decisions, create and distribute meeting notes, and proactively manage expectations through clear and frequent communication.

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
