The Lourie Center School seeks to hire a Teacher's Aide who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As the Teacher's Aide, you will:
•Assist the teacher in the development and preparation of materials to be used with the child
•Assist the child during group activities
•Available to any crisis that may occur in and out of the classroom
•Read the reports and IEPs of children in the class
•Prepare and clean up the classroom as per the demands of the curricular task and needs of the children in the program
•Provide instructional support to the assigned child with the goal of increasing the child's level of independence
•Assist the teacher and the interdisciplinary team in the formulation and implementation of therapeutic and behavior management strategies for this child in the program

Qualifications Include:
•Bachelor's degree preferred or minimum 2 years' experience in related field
•Minimum of one year work experience with special needs children (i.e. school, camp, counselor, childcare work, college practicum experiences, etc).
•Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
