Client Services AssistantPosition open to Student Wage and Non-student WageThe George Mason University, Mason Enterprise Center, is seeking qualified applicants for a Client Services Assistant position for its Virginia PTAC, APEX Accelerator. The Procurement Technical Assistant Center (PTAC) provides counseling and services that help businesses do business with government at the Federal, State, and Local levels. George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.Responsibilities: Primary Duties:Event Support and Webinar facilitationAssist PTAC staff to prepare for training events during the 9am to 4pm timeframe, typically M-Th., including: Provide advanced communication and day-of assistance to instructors to prepare for Webinar or classes;Facilitate and introduce instructors for webinars using GoToWebinar or Zoom platform and triage Q&A for instructors while documenting attendance;If applicable, prepare (print, collate) handouts and class materials in advance of training and set up the classroom per instructor specifications (Fairfax and Alexandria locations);Make class handouts available electronically to attendees and maintain electronic filing of roster, evaluations, and handout as appropriate;Collect, review, and file / scan evaluation forms for in-person classes. Notify PTAC staff of any feedback that needs attention; andAssist with PTAC conferences by facilitating onsite registration and check-in; setting up event spaces & staffing PTAC booth / table.As needed:Customer Relationship Management & (CRM) Database AdministrationMonitor and triage voicemails and "generic" email account under the direction of the Client Services Coordinator;Assist clients with online registration for classes and counseling;Perform data entry and data management, including report generation, from PTAC's CRM;Maintain up-to-date records by cleaning up outdated and bounced contact information, removing duplicates, and updating client award / milestone information; andAssist Client Services Coordinator with updating client information on file by performing internet research on client businesses.Marketing and OutreachRepresent PTAC at event exhibit tables as needed when schedule permits;Assisting vendors / exhibitors / sponsors with registration, check-in, ensuring their needs are met in advance, during, and post events; andOther duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Excellent customer service ability including interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills;Well-organized and detail-oriented, with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment;Team player with a willingness to collaborate;Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word; andExperience with online research.Preferred Qualifications:CRM experience; andKnowledge of GMU university systems.
