Vendor Operations Manager. Principal Associate (Hybrid)

As a Vendor Operations Manager for Auto Navigator, you will be responsible for managing our outsourced vendor to ensure flawless performance and delivery. You will be asked to help establish a framework for ensuring ongoing monitoring of operational performance to maximize our customer experience and well managed expectations. This role will require a full understanding of the technical processes and flow of information from the vendor to Capital One, as well as monitoring reports which detailed supplier performance, communication of performance to suppliers, development of performance remediation plans, as needed and managing vendor budget. Additionally, you will have responsibility for understanding business objectives and developing and managing your vendor to meet performance, cost, and risk goals. Lastly, you will work with operational teams to assess performance, be involved in developing contract strategies, and responsible for staying abreast of industry trends, threats and developments.

Responsibilities:
  • Accountability for the vendor performance
  • Sharing of our strategic vision with vendors and drive execution of critical business tasks
  • Partnering with teams of associates aimed at "Run-the-engine" activities and influencing / helping to shape a process improvement agenda
  • Being the point of escalation and understanding how to navigate the vendor and the vendor systems to get answers to problems quickly
  • Assessing and managing vendor performance, reporting, analysis and communications of supplier performance
  • Lead process design and analysis projects in concert with external vendors
  • Ensuring visibility and transparency to internal and external stakeholders on the health of operations, including identification of critical needs/dependencies and risks
  • Building strong relationships with the vendor relationship managers as well as with the regional and site level management
  • Identifying trends that have negative impact on operations and partner with vendors to proactively remediate
  • Advocate for exceptional customer service and quality (i.e. compliance to the law)


**This position does require onsite attendance **
Location: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to be in the office in Plano, TX for certain aspects of the role.


Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 4 years of experience in Operations Management
  • At least 2 years of experience in Supplier Management
  • At least 2 years of experience in Process Management
  • At least 2 years of experience in People Management


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 6 years of experience in Operations Management
  • At least 5 years of experience in Process Management
  • Process Certifications (i.e. LEAN, Six Sigma, Business Process Management
  • At least 5 years of experience in Project Management
  • At least 5 years of experience in Relationship Management
  • At least 2 years of experience in Vendor Management
  • At least 3 years of experience in People Management
  • At least 2 years of experience in Financial Services
