Sr. Risk Associate - Identity Access Management

Senior Risk Associates at Capital One are the front line of defense to ensure our Company remains stable and profitable. As a Senior Risk Associate in the Commercial Risk Office at Capital One you'll be responsible for working with business partners to identify and mitigate potential risks to Capital One. You will work at the intersection of business, cyber, and technology to create and implement innovative solutions to appropriately manage access and identity risks, as well as have a direct impact on how the Commercial division measures and manages risks associated with its portfolio of applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and execution of a identity and access risk framework
  • Partner with business, cyber, and technology teams to assess risks and identify opportunities for control / process implementation and automation
  • Maintain many simultaneous workstreams managed through an Agile Methodology
  • Perform risk assessments, data analysis, and risk remediation work with the Commercial lines of business, Commercial Tech partners, and Cyber
  • Manage tasks and activities related to proactive risk management initiatives to reduce the residual risk within the business
  • Present findings, recommendations, and status reports to leadership
  • Prepare presentations for both team and executive level reporting
  • Use analytical skills to identify trends and opportunities to improve the risk management framework and audit and exam readiness
  • Execute the risk assessment and remediation program governance on behalf of the Commercial business
  • Communicate scope, issues, risks and recommendations to management (written and oral)


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in risk management or financial services


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to work effectively in a team environment to meet tight deadlines
  • 2 years of experience in Cyber Risk, Tech Risk or Identity and Access Management
  • 2 years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk
  • Commercial Bank experience

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Location is New York City: $99,500 - $113,600 for Sr. Risk Associate

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
