Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Coordinator

Position Opportunity:

Reporting to the SVP, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), ensures efficient operations of the DEI Office in support of the CPB strategic business plan. The DEI Coordinator provides administrative support, including but not limited to coordinating the administration of the office; assisting with the coordination of all DEI events and initiatives; preparing emails, presentations, virtual books and other correspondence; and collaborating with the SVP, DEI on research and analysis projects and reports.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.

Required Qualifications:

• Two years related work experience.

• Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work independently, as well as within a team environment.

• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and issues with attention to detail.

• Experience utilizing MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).

Position Responsibilities:

• Coordinates the administration of the DEI Office, including but not limited to the preparation of the calendar, coordinating meetings, managing schedules, and tracking budgets, expense reports, and other related activities.

• Provides training support by scheduling staff for DEI training, reviewing training invoices for compliance with contract terms.

• Assists the SVP, DEI to research, write and finalize messaging, handbooks, letters, and other documentation. This work includes developing and integrating PowerPoint slides, graphics, video, and/or audio presentations.

• Assists with the coordination of all DEI events and initiatives such as cultural celebrations, professional development panels, networking opportunities, mentoring initiatives, team retreats, trainings, presentations, and conferences.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

The salary for this position will be no less than $50,000 within a salary hiring range up to $62,000. Exact salary based upon experience, education related to the role, CPB compensation structure and internal equity. Annual salary increases and bonus award based on performance against annual objectives and position responsibilities.

Location:

CPB is conveniently located amidst multiple metro stops at 401 Ninth St. NW, Washington, DC. We are a largely local workforce and value employee flexibility, when possible. Currently, most positions are offsite or hybrid, depending on role, as approved by the position’s Department Head.
