The MIL Corporation is seeking a Computer Forensic and Intrusion Detection Analyst, Senior (Network Engineering, Associate) to join our Information Environment (IE) section supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC). This facility supports the mission to provide realistic cybersecurity environments for test and evaluation of major DoD acquisition programs and to enable the conduct of realistic training and certification events for the DoD Cyber Mission Force. The NCRC facility may also support non-DoD customers such as Department of Homeland Security (DHS), industry, academia, and international partners. The successful candidate will serve at the Patuxent Naval Air Station, MD site. This position is contingent upon award.

Responsibilities
- Supports the network operations in the IE Section.
- Monitors and examines the IE and range configurations for signs of intrusion in design which may affect test performance and range operations.
- Evaluates, recommends, and implements automated test tools and strategies; assesses, designs, and conceptualizes test scenarios, approaches, objectives, plans, tools, and other state of the art technologies related to forensics and intrusion detection requirements.
- Implements, and reports supporting recommendations and improve test and range security.
- Serves as subject matter specialist providing vulnerability know-how for the support of user requirements of complex to highly complex cyber range environments.
- Supports all phases of risk management assessments with emphasis range security, test design and tools selection.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience OR Associates Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience OR Bachelors with 6+ years of relevant experience OR Masters with 4+ years of relevant experience OR PhD with 2+ years of relevant experience. Additional considerations will be made for variations in certifications of exceptional caliber.
- Demonstrated expert knowledge of cyber forensics and intrusion detection in complex network environments.
- IAT level III (CISA, GSE, SCNA, GCIH, CISSP (or Associate)) or IAM Level III (GSLC, CISM, CISSP (or Associate))
- DoD 8570.01M/ IAT-II certification within 6 months of assignment to position (CAP, GSLC, CISM, CISSP (or Associate))
- Demonstrated knowledge of cyber vulnerability and intrusion detection in complex network environments
- Per federal guidelines, you may be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to obtain vaccination.
Desired Qualifications
- High degree of organization and communications skills
- Master's Degree in a STEM subject, particularly systems engineering, network engineering, or cybersecurity or Associates or B achelor's degree in computer science , or engineering or its equivalent with 15+ years' relevant experience
- Active, Reserve, or National Guard military service with network or cyber security experience
