Summary

The MIL Corporation located in Lexington Park, Maryland supporting Naval Aviation acquisition programs has an exciting opportunity as an Anti-Tamper (AT) Engineer (Systems Engineering, Analyst) supporting a major ACAT developmental program. MIL provides a full range of engineering services including AT, cyber resiliency engineering, vulnerability research, software and hardware penetration testing, reverse engineering, support of the NAVAIR Red Team, as well as other System Security Engineering (SSE) support to Naval Aviation acquisition programs. This position will be based onsite at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in identification of weapon system critical program information (CPI), and determination of consequence of compromise.
  • Develop weapons system architectures that resist reverse engineering.
  • Conduct analysis and modeling on proposed architectures.
  • Document protective architectures
  • Develop and advocate contractual requirements in support of developmental programs.
  • Facilitate evaluation of weapons system architectures for compliance to protection standards.
  • Coordinate with program, service, Joint and Department of Defense agencies to ensure horizontal protection requirements are met.
  • Support program risk management, mitigation, and reporting.
  • Communicate across the technical teams to share information, address issues, and accelerate pace of new development.
  • Serves as a Technical Review Board (TRB) member for systems technical events providing AT/SEE expertise.

Required Qualifications
  • At least five (5) years of recent and relevant experience in an AT systems engineering role. Demonstrated knowledge in area of engineering expertise.
  • Must have programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems and as well as guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems. Require experience with employment of systems engineering methods and tools in the development of systems.
  • Knowledge and direct experience in SSE and Anti-Tamper related to airborne weapon systems and platforms.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Systems Engineering processes and applications.
  • Knowledge and experience in DoD Systems Acquisition Life Cycle.
  • Per federal guidelines, you may be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to obtain vaccination.

Education

Position requires a BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific discipline.

Clearance

All applicants for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; please note that the clearance process considers financial background aspects.
