We are seeking a postdoctoral psychology resident to join our team, providing neuropsychological assessment and psychotherapy services to children and adults.

Who We Are The Kingsbury Wellness & Learning Group is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing exceptional therapeutic and educational services to children and adults. Our mission is to remove barriers and unlock potential for families with learning and behavior challenges; through community partnerships, we aim to increase equity and access to our services for families who may not otherwise have the means to attain them. 

We have a broad range of therapeutic and educational expertise that allows us to serve children and adults with complex needs. Our diagnostic and psychological services have been serving families throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for decades, and we continue to provide assessments and therapy of the highest quality.

General requirements

  • September 2023 start date
  • Graduation from an accredited clinical or school psychology doctoral program
  • Collaborative attitude
  • Cultural competency
  • Prompt communication and email with colleagues
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records
  • Four in-office work days and one work-from-home day each week
  • Availability for at least two evenings (up to 7pm) 

Neuropsychological Assessment We conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations that provide in-depth information about an individual’s functioning across a broad range of areas. Our evaluations include cognitive, academic, neuropsychological, and social-emotional testing. Clinicians who have testing experience are preferred, though training in specific measures and initial supervision will be provided. Specific skills and qualifications desired include:

  • Experience testing children ages 3 and up
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Familiarity with a range of clinical presentations, including learning disorders, Autism, ADHD, behavioral and emotional challenges

Psychotherapy We provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy services to children and adults with a broad range of mental health concerns. Clinicians from diverse clinical backgrounds are welcome; each is expected to demonstrate ownership of his/her/their therapeutic orientation while also maintaining competence in a variety of psychological interventions. All clinicians are expected to have basic foundations in psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and family interventions.
