Who We Are The Kingsbury Wellness & Learning Group is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing exceptional therapeutic and educational services to children and adults. Our mission is to remove barriers and unlock potential for families with learning and behavior challenges; through community partnerships, we aim to increase equity and access to our services for families who may not otherwise have the means to attain them.
We have a broad range of therapeutic and educational expertise that allows us to serve children and adults with complex needs. Our diagnostic and psychological services have been serving families throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for decades, and we continue to provide assessments and therapy of the highest quality.
What We Offer Kingsbury is a collaborative and supportive group of psychologists who are dedicated to improving access to our services. When you join our team, you join a mission that is bigger than any one of us. We are growing our team to meet the needs of the community, and we hope that our residents will want to continue their work as full-time psychologists on our staff after their residency is complete. Here are some other benefits that come with the position:
- Work with diverse client population (e.g., economic, identity, cultural, ethnic, racial, and gender diversity)

- Opportunity to participate in nonprofit strategic planning
- 3 weeks paid time off plus holidays

Neuropsychological Assessment We conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations that provide in-depth information about an individual’s functioning across a broad range of areas. Our evaluations include cognitive, academic, neuropsychological, and social-emotional testing. Clinicians who have testing experience are preferred, though training in specific measures and initial supervision will be provided. Specific skills and qualifications desired include:
- Experience testing children ages 3 and up
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Familiarity with a range of clinical presentations, including learning disorders, Autism, ADHD, behavioral and emotional challenges
Psychotherapy We provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy services to children and adults with a broad range of mental health concerns. Clinicians from diverse clinical backgrounds are welcome; each is expected to demonstrate ownership of his/her/their therapeutic orientation while also maintaining competence in a variety of psychological interventions. All clinicians are expected to have basic foundations in psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and family interventions.
Company
Our mission is to remove barriers and unlock potential for families with learning and behavior challenges. There are numerous families in our community suffering from educational neglect, families who, with access to proper support, would excel and thrive at school, work, and home. A disproportionate amount of the publicly funded special education support services - services designed to keep kids from falling through the cracks - are actually directed toward families of means. This is largely due to the fact that these families can afford high quality psychological testing and therapy services, and they have the resources to advocate for their children.
The Kingsbury Wellness & Learning Group is the place where education and mental health meet, and our vision is that all families have access not just to our services, but to what those services unlock. This principle of accessibility is so crucial to our existence as a nonprofit that we have operationalized it. Our services create accessibility by being: 1) of Exceptional quality, 2) Affordable for all, and 3) Located where families need it. We support families throughout the process of identifying their children’s needs, gaining diagnostic clarity, and securing ongoing intervention with regard to learning and mental health.
We have a broad range of therapeutic and educational expertise that allows us to serve children and adults with complex needs. Our psychologists have been serving families throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for decades, and we continue to provide assessments, therapy, and consultation of the highest quality. We are currently offering virtual therapy, and our comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations are a hybrid of virtual and in-person testing.
