Graduate Recruitment CoordinatorOffice of Graduate StudiesThe George Mason University Office of Graduate Studies, within the College of Engineering and Computing (CEC), seeks a motivated, proactive, organized, and self-reliant Graduate Recruitment Coordinator. Responsibilities:The Graduate Recruitment Coordinator will plan, organize, and implement student recruitment services for the College of Engineering and Computing (CEC) graduate programs. The Coordinator serves as a liaison between the college's Office of Graduate Studies (CECGS) and the university's Office of Graduate Admissions (OGA). In addition, the position involves responsibility for mastering and conveying CEC graduate programs information, admission policies, procedures and requirements, and assisting prospective students with clear communication as they evaluate their options and navigate through the application process. The Coordinator is expected to perform duties across all graduate recruitment efforts to include, but not limited to, working directly with prospective students, applicants, faculty and staff, leading recruitment efforts and outreach to achieve enrollment goals determined by the college, actively engage in recruitment events, create presentations, and coordinate, plan, and host recruitment activities. Reporting to the Director of Graduate Admissions and Recruitment, this position will serve as a member of the graduate studies team, playing a critical role in contributing to the strategic direction of graduate student recruitment efforts. Student Recruitment and Outreach:Manage and lead recruitment events both in-person and in virtual instances;Represent the college's graduate programs at college fairs and other recruitment events;Lead in-person and virtual prospective student information sessions;Coordinate meetings and create presentations with regard to graduate admissions and related topics;Develop and maintain a comprehensive recruitment calendar for the office;Coordinate and manage graduate students to assist with recruitment activities and community outreach; andProvide high-touch support to prospective students and applicants, serving as the point of contact for applicants in various stages of the admission funnel in-person, via telephone, virtual platforms, and email.Engagement:Support faculty and staff in development and implementation of program-level recruitment efforts;Work with the Director of Graduate Admissions and Recruitment on strategic planning and delivery of recruitment and enrollment initiatives;Engage faculty and staff to support student recruitment efforts;Facilitate internationally-targeted recruitment efforts which may include working with vendor(s);Work with partner institutions to drive student interest and applications to select programs; andPrepare and review monthly admissions reports for the Director of Graduate Admissions and Recruitment.Graduate Programs Knowledge:Manage application reviewer assignments in the university's Application Review tool;Review, edit, and update application programs, requirements, and deadlines; andKeep informed and up-to-date with graduate programs, requirements, admission policies and procedures.Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;Experience managing or administering recruitment-related events and workflow;Experience working in student recruitment, communications, or admissions;Outstanding communication and presentation skills;Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail;Demonstrated customer service experience;Ability to be decisive, take initiative, and complete projects and/or assignments with minimal supervision;Demonstrated experience coordinating and planning events;Demonstrated analytical skills;Excellent computer skills and willingness to learn new software; andAbility to work occasional morning/evening/weekend hours and travel.Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated experience in analyzing data and building reports;Experience working with a CRM(s), preferably Salesforce;Higher education admissions experience; andPreferably a bachelor's degree in any of the following fields of study: marketing, communications, business administration or related field.*Please Note, this is not a 100% remote/virtual position, but is telework friendly.
