Data Integration EngineerGeorge Mason University, Information Technology Services (ITS) - located on the Fairfax, Va., campus-invites applications for a Data Integration Engineer within the Enterprise Data Integration Services team. Responsibilities:This position will be responsible for data integration, data integration solution design and quality, inclusive of target and semantic data model(s), data dictionaries, logical data flows, events, business rule and transformation reuse and optimization; designing granular API/Data Services to meet data stakeholder requirements with an eye towards balancing the mix of reuse, maintainability, performance, data sensitivity, and operations; and communicating accurate and up to date data models, interfaces, and flows in graphical, written, and verbal forms.Required Qualifications:B.S. in Computer Science, M.I.S. or some related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Extensive and demonstrable work experience may be substituted for a degree;Experience with at least one Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) such as Informatica or Mulesoft;Demonstrated use of chosen technologies for Enterprise API (or Web) Services, SQL, and ETL development;Ability to write and maintain detailed design artifacts; andAbility to perform Tier 2 on-call production support for implemented data integration solutions.Preferred Qualifications:Advanced ability to self-organize, multi-task, and meet schedule requirements;Demonstrated ability to define customers' business requirements in order to analyze and design new data exchange or integration solutions to satisfy their needs;Demonstrated ability to analyze technical issues and problems effectively;Proven ability to mentor staff in advanced techniques;Knowledge of secure data transmission and integration techniques;XML, JSON;Experience with Agile or SCRUM methodologies;Higher Education experience;Solid communication and collaboration skills at staff and inter-departmental levels;Ability to effectively communicate with University's IT management, Administrative Managers, and others;Demonstrated customer focus and enthusiasm for continuous improvement, innovation, and change;Salesforce CRM - Integration features;Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), IICS Cloud Data Integration (CDI), IICS Cloud Application Integration (CAI), API Management;Advanced scripting language (PERL), Node.js; andJava programming and PL/SQL experience.Salary is commensurate with experience.George Mason University is a great place to work where employees are given an opportunity to develop skills and expand horizons.
