We have a contingent opening for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. They will be able to clearly define and clearly articulate compelling solutions and will require an ability to quickly assimilate and apply complex technical information.Kitty Hawk Technologies has a contingent opening for a Sr. Systems Engineers with eight (8) or more years of experience in in the design operation and/or maintenance of complex US Combat Systems. Demonstrated Experience in reading design documents, evaluating high level interface block diagrams, evaluating commercial equipment, part task trainer emulations and simulations for applicability to create flexible and cost-effective training and readiness capabilities in support of the Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC). This includes four (4) years of AEGIS Computer Network Technician (ACNT) experience.Responsibilities in this position include, but are not limited to,Provide engineering and technical support and advisement regarding problem definition, analysis, requirement development and implementation for complex systems in the engineering discipline required to meet technical requirements.Demonstrated experience in the analysis of recommended changes and in determining the impact on system readiness and user functionality.Provide engineering services for both Combat System Computer Program integration and consolidation and all future Combat Systems Baselines.Provide support to the management of Navy Training System Plans (NTSP) reviews across the Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) domain.Provide support to the management and execution of the Training System Installation Plans (TSIP) program across the SCSTC domain.Provide support for meetings, symposiums, and reviews with respect to the new tasking. Submit Training and Systems Engineering data.Evaluate requirements, development artifacts, design artifacts, and software products.Provide assessments and recommendations on system development, process improvements, and strategic decisions.Prepare technical presentations, briefings, and papers to address accreditation efforts in such venues as technical design reviews, technical review boards, and others.Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for identified cost, schedule, and technical issues.Attend meetings, symposiums, and reviewsRequirements:A bachelor's degree in an engineering and at least eight (8) plus years of professional experience in the design operation and/or maintenance of complex US Combat SystemsFour (4) years' experience as an AEGIS Computer Network Technician (ACNT)Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET DoD clearance is a must - US Citizenship is required.Effective oral and written communication skills. Proficient with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Must be a quick learner who adapts easily to frequently changing requirements and thrives in an exciting environment.
