Duties

  • You will be the IPT Lead for the Executive Lift Sustainment Program providing program management, acquisition management and risk management support to PMA-207 for the C-20, C-38 and C-37 aircraft.
  • You will lead government efforts developing and executing acquisition and contracting processes.
  • You will ensure all elements of life cycle support, including operational support acquisition, are programmed, budgeted, and accomplished.
  • You will train and guide team members in developing appropriate strategies for managing both FAR Part 15, FAR Part 16 and FAR Part 12 contracts.
  • You will interface directly and independently with representatives of supporting commercial contractors.
  • You will assume the leading role in source selection efforts, including planning, scheduling, drafting documentation and evaluating contractor proposals.
  • You will coordinate with the Fleet Support Team, translating technical requirements into defined acquisition requirements.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band (NH-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Analyzing needs and synthesizing requirements information to develop requirements for program initiatives and planning; 2) Directing the development of comprehensive program plans to ensure fulfillment of requirements, fiscal adequacy, and planned progress; 3) Directing the preparation of documents, specifications, requirements, criteria, and standards that define needs and parameters of the program; 4) Identifying and defending resource requirements (funding, manpower, facilities, etc.) for life-cycle management of the assigned program; 5) Providing management direction to all Integrated Product Team (IPT) members and to other personnel directly assigned or detailed to support the assigned program; 6) Synthesizing critical management issues, documentation and relevant information to support program reviews.
