Space Management AnalystGeorge Mason University is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person for a Space Management Analyst position in the Office of Capital Strategy and Planning. About the Department:The Capital Strategy and Planning (CS&P) department works with George Mason's leadership, schools, and Units to align long-range capital planning with operational budgets and Mason's Strategic Plan. This includes development of the 6-Year Capital Plan, Mason's Master Plan, capital and space planning studies, project funding plans in collaboration with Mason's Treasurer, and approval of space and capital project requests across multiple campuses comprised of approximately 9M square feet.In coordination with Facilities, the Registrar's Office and Real Estate, the Space Management team works with campus Units to develop short- and long-term space needs, occupancy guidelines, process space assignment requests and compile space data reports for regulatory compliance, utilization, data validation and capital project planning. Space Management maintains Mason's database of record for space data which is validated through periodic space surveys in coordination with Unit Space Liaisons. Space Management participates in campus initiatives and planning studies relating to space use and cost allocation models, and works closely with the Department's Campus Planners and Facilities in support of new construction and renovation projects.Responsibilities:The Space Management Analyst is directly responsible for the Archibus space database, e-Builder, departmental website and other applications relevant to space management. AutoCAD floorplans and compiled space attributes in a relational database are managed by this position. A wide variety of internal and external stakeholders rely on concise and accurate reports and images to assist in data-driven decision-making and reporting to various internal and external reviewers.Duties include but are not limited to:Database Management & Reporting;Building CAD Drawing Management;Space Data Audit Support;Data Analysis and Reporting for Space Assignments; andWebsite Management.Required Qualifications:BS degree Information Technology or a related field. A combination of equivalent education and work experience may be substituted for a degree.Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated experience (minimum 2 years preferred) providing database administration and support for enterprise software and custom applications.
