Testing Specialist

SIRTech, LLC has an opening for the position of Testing Specialist (Ref# TS112RM) to work in Arlington, VA and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.  Job Duties:  Responsible for quality assurance (QA) analysis and testing of critical business software applications.  Translate verbal and written requirements/functional specifications into effective test cases/scenarios to conduct integrated, scenario-based user acceptance testing (UAT) of a complex system.  Create test cases to be used in testing business applications in order to verify that client requirements are incorporated into the system design.  Execute test cases and document results of the execution.  Develop and identify test data for test scenarios and automate them using Selenium.  Develop and automate test scripts.  Work on database validations writing complex queries.  Create a test plan and test calendar to coordinate testing within the project and establish timelines for successful completion.  Work with stakeholders and management to resolve issues and validate requirements within specific areas of responsibility.  Conduct quality assurance activities such as peer reviews of test cases, test plans, and test case execution results.  Document defects identified during test case execution and work with developers to resolve the defects.  Use of Selenium, JIRA, SoapUI, TestNG, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Cucumber, Maven, Jenkins, and Agile.  Travel and/or relocation required.

Requirements:  This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.  Plus 6 months of experience in the job offered or 6 months in a related occupation including Quality Analyst, Systems Analyst, or related experience.  Position requires 6 months of experience with test plans, test cases, Selenium, and Java.  40hrs/week.
