Graduate Admissions Coordinator The Office of Admissions is seeking a customer-focused, organized individual for a Graduate Admissions Coordinator. Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the Graduate Admissions Coordinator is to serve current and prospective graduate students who visit the Office of Graduate Admissions by providing a professional, welcoming and customer service-oriented presence. The position is also responsible for a high volume of calls and email inquiries. The individual interested in this position enjoys advocating for graduate students and helping them navigate the admissions process. The successful candidate will serve as the primary admission's point of contact for Mason Student Services Center (MSSC) in reference to graduate inquiries, and is responsible for responding to inquiries from a variety of sources (emails, MSSC calls, walk-ins, etc.) and providing information to necessary parties in a timely and professional manner. The incumbent must be prepared to handle large call/email volumes and work in a deadline-driven environment. This position serves as a processing specialist with the focus on being the primary admissions point person for transcript audits, which must be conducted every semester. In this capacity, the incumbent will be responsible for resolving the majority of transcript audit inquiries. The successful candidate must be comfortable working with students to resolve issues and manage the flow during high-volume times. This position will serve as the first contact for all graduate admissions inquiries, provide administrative support to the admissions specialists, work on specialized graduate admissions initiatives, and demonstrate professional customer service experience to our clients. Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;Demonstrated problem solving experience, with the ability to triage customer inquiries and resolve a majority of customer situations, independently;Comfortable working diverse populations, and possess cross-cultural communication skills;Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment;Ability to quickly absorb a large volume of policy and procedural information for effectively sharing with customers;Ability to determine escalation procedures and follow up with Specialists to ensure resolution of cases;Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities;Comfort or familiarity with database systems and proficiency using Microsoft Office programs;Experience with professional business communications and procedures;Demonstrated experience in customer service role in an office environment with a high-volume work load; andA positive, friendly, and customer service-oriented attitude.Preferred Qualifications:Bilingual;Higher education experience; andExperience working with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
