Job Announcement
Under the direction of the contract services manager, plans, coordinates, monitors, and inspects the day-to-day work involving custodial services, landscape and grounds maintenance services, and pest control services performed by contractors at county facilities to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the contractual agreement. Specific duties include:
Schedule: Flexible working schedule is required as well as overtime, call-back and on-call.

Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Possession of a valid motor vehicle driver’s license

Job is generally sedentary in nature; however, visual acuity is required to read data on computer monitor; incumbent must be able to operate keyboard driven equipment. Must communicate with others. Panel interview and may include a written or practical exercise.

- Prepares and facilitates monthly performance and quarterly evaluation performance based meetings with contractors.
- Coordinates work with county staff, building occupants and contractors to conduct regular inspections of facilities and resolves issues and problems.
- Receives, reviews and evaluates complaints regarding custodial and landscape services. Determines and initiates the appropriate corrective action needed to ensure that contract specifications are in compliance and acceptable standards are being maintained.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- All newly hired employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (two weeks after the last required dose) as a condition of employment or obtain approval of a medical or religious exemption prior to their start date. - The appointee to the position must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check and driving record check.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least one year of experience inspecting the daily work of contract staff, to include preparing frequent performance-based evaluations.
- Experience in conducting regular inspections of facilities to resolve issues and problems.
- Experience developing and preparing bid specifications.
