If you want to be a leader with the company that delivers smart solutions for our nation's challenges, this is your opportunity.The Penetration Tester / Reverse Engineer will be responsible for penetration testing all layers of the technology stack and all vulnerabilities within. We'll rely on you to be involved in Protocol Analysis, Vulnerability Assessment, Security Research, Rapid Prototyping of proof-of-concept capabilities. You'll conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing utilizing reverse engineering techniques. You'll also contribute to the design, development and implementation of countermeasures, system integration, and tools specific to Cyber and Information Operations. Familiarity with automobile electronics (Telematics) preferred.REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:Perform penetration testing including, internet, wireless, embedded systems and applications.Work often involves software operating systems, malware or electronic signalsTypically programs in both C and assembly languageInvolved in Protocol Analysis, Vulnerability Assessment, Security Research, Rapid Prototyping of proof-of-concept capabilitiesConducts vulnerability assessments and penetration testing utilizing reverse engineering techniquesPerforms analysis of complex software systems to determine both functionality and intent of software systemsMay prepare and presents technical reports and briefingsMay perform documentation, vetting and weaponization of identified vulnerabilities for operational useTest automationLearning Reverse Engineering tools, both COTS and GOTSKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Solid knowledge of penetration testing fundamentals including Research, scanning, gaining access, persisting access, and removing all trace of the attack after completeRequires solid knowledge and exposure to computer processor architectures and instructions setsSolid ability to perform all responsibilities associated with the positionSolid ability to grasp and apply new information quicklySolid ability to handle more complex assignmentsShows solid initiative on assignments, exercises independent judgment and professionally executes projects with little directionSolid ability to use scripting languages such as Python, Perl, bashWhat you bring to the table:Solid knowledge of operating system fundamentals (interrupts, threading, virtual memory, device drivers) and internals (memory layouts and management, binary file formats)Solid ability to use scripting languages such as Python, Perl, bashWhat sets you apart:Creative thinking with the ability to multi-taskConsistently displays high performance attributesTeam player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team successDepartment of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.Salary Note: This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. Combined Salary Range: USD $118,000.00 - USD $131,000.00 /Yr.
